With the arrival of 2011, Greenray entered our 50th year of operation as a manufacturer of high performance frequency control products. And we couldn’t be more happy about achieving that milestone. Founded in 1961 by Raymond Green, Greenray Industries early years focused primarily on direct sales to the military. Early oscillator products, which included LC (coil capacitor) and RC (resistor capacitor) oscillators – and did not utilize quartz crystals – were tune-able over a broad band range but did not approach modern standards for stability and (low) noise performance. In addition to oscillators, the company designed and manufactured various sub-systems including amplifiers, multipliers and bandpass filters, among others.
Greenray has, over the years, played a key role in the evolution of frequency control devices toward higher stability, lower noise, and compact size. In addition, the company has expanded design and manufacturing capabilities to support the needs of new and emerging markets including SATCOM, GPS, wired and wireless communications, and instrumentation.
Today Greenray Industries is a market leader in precision, high reliability TCXOs, and designs and manufactures state-of-the-art, quartz-based oscillators for use in wireless, wired telephony, aerospace, military, satellite, GPS and other communications applications.
